Of the more than 100 chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant, CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the most prevalent.
Due to the growing research around the positive benefits of CBD on health and well-being, CBD is becoming increasingly sought after, especially when taken as a full spectrum plant extract, making use of the other compounds, producing what is known as 'the Entourage Effect'.
It's important to recognise that CBD and THC are not the same thing, CBD is non psychoactive (it won't get you high) and in our case is extracted from strains of cannabis that have little or no THC content.
CBD is legal here in the United Kingdom. Our products contain no THC, cannot get you high and we are compliant with the United Kingdom Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Unlike THC, it is impossible for CBD to get you high.
The endocannabinoid system is a biological system found in the body of not only humans but other animals too. Within the endocannabinoid system contains two kinds of receptors, CBD1 and CBD2. CBD1 is found mainly in the brain and spine (central nervous system, and CBD2 throughout the rest of the body's nervous system (peripheral nervous system). CBD acts on receptors found in the endocannabinoid system, CBD exerts its effects in part by mimicking or boosting levels of endocannabinoids, chemical compounds that humans produce naturally and are found throughout our bodies. Endocannavinoids play a vital role in regulating mood, appetite, stress, memory, sleep, metabolism, immune function, pain sensation and reproduction.
CBD has no set dosage amount. We recommend to start with a low dose, maintain this for a few days before steadily increasing until you feel you have reached the desired effects. Dosage amounts can vary from as low 2.5mg per day up to a couple hundred mg per day.
